Contest FAQ
Do I need to own AK Athletics equipment to enter?
No. Existing AK customers are encouraged to show off their AK setup, but future AK customers may enter by submitting a photo of their current training space and explaining how they would use the prize if selected.
How is the winner selected?
The AK Athletics team will choose our favorite entry based on creativity, training space, product use if applicable, photo/video quality, and summer training spirit.
When will the winner be announced?
The winner will be announced on July 1.
Do I need to purchase anything?
No. No purchase is necessary. Purchase does not improve your chances of winning.
What can the winner choose?
The winner may choose either a standard 6' x 12' Folding Mat or a standard 10' x 10' Wrestling Mat, in their choice of color.
Can AK Athletics use my photos or videos?
By entering, participants grant AK Athletics permission to use submitted photos, videos, names, social handles, and setup descriptions in marketing and promotional materials. If your content includes a minor, only submit it if you are the parent or guardian, or if you have permission from the parent or guardian.
Official Rules
Please review the contest rules below before entering. By participating in the June Backyard Gym Contest, you agree to these terms and conditions.
- Entry Period: Contest begins June 1 at 12:00 AM CST and ends June 30 at 11:59 PM CST.
- Eligibility: Open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
- Employees Excluded: Employees of AK Athletics Equipment and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
- No Purchase Necessary: No purchase is required to enter or win. Making a purchase does not increase your chances of winning.
- How to Enter: Submit a photo or video of your training space featuring AK Athletics equipment by emailing marketing@akathletics.com, tagging AK Athletics on social media with #AKAthleticsGiveawayEntry, or using the alternate free entry method below.
- Alternate Free Entry Method: Don’t own AK Athletics equipment yet? Submit a photo of your current training space and tell us how you would use your choice of a 6' x 12' Folding Mat or 10' x 10' Wrestling Mat if selected as the winner.
- Entry Limit: One entry per person or business during the contest period.
- Prize: One winner will receive their choice of either one standard AK Athletics 6' x 12' Folding Mat or one standard AK Athletics 10' x 10' Wrestling Mat, in their choice of color. Prize is non-transferable and no cash substitution will be provided.
- Winner Selection: Winner will be selected by AK Athletics based on creativity, training space presentation, product use if applicable, photo/video quality, and overall summer training spirit.
- Winner Notification: Winner will be announced on July 1 and contacted using the information provided with their entry.
- Content Ownership: Entrants must own the submitted photo/video or have permission from the owner to submit the content.
- Permission to Use Content: By entering, participants grant AK Athletics permission to use submitted photos, videos, names, social handles, and descriptions in marketing, advertising, social media, website content, and promotional materials.
- Minors in Content: If a submitted photo or video includes a minor, the entrant must be the parent/legal guardian or have permission from the parent/legal guardian.
- Social Media Disclaimer: This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Meta, or any other social media platform.
- Void Where Prohibited: This contest is void where prohibited by law.
- Agreement to Rules: Participation in this contest constitutes agreement to these rules and all decisions made by AK Athletics, which are final and binding.
